About the Surratt House Museum :

Tours through historic Surratt House provide the visitor with an opportunity to learn facts behind the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln and the role that Mary Surratt may or may not have played. Visitors also view how a typical Southern Maryland home would have appeared during the mid-19th century. The tour ends with a permanent exhibit reflecting the role of Maryland in the conflict, the choices made by the Surratt family, and the after-effects on the family and the nation.

We allow our visitors to determine Mary Surratt’s fate!
